Meet Amy Lai, a Chinese-born American and UC Davis alumni, who, after college, embarked on her professional path, temporarily setting aside her ambition to open a boba tea business. But that dream refused to stay dormant for long, as Amy's unwavering dedication and hard work paid off.
With a boundless determination and the wholehearted support of her incredible family and community, Teaspoon opened its first shop in Los Altos, California. Here at Teaspoon, boba is more than just tea—it's an experience, a feeling that fills every cup we meticulously prepare. We infuse each sip with love and harness the power of nature's finest ingredients.
As CEO and Co-Founder of Teaspoon, Amy is also the head of Research and Development creating Teaspoon’s menu, inspired by her life, travels, and flavors of the world.

We also recognize that boba tea must evolve with the times, and that's where our brilliant research and development team steps in.
